Plantar Fasciitis
Plantar FasciitisPlantar Fasciitis is a fibrous band of tissue in the bottom of the foot that extends from the heel bone to the toes. This tissue can become inflamed due to a variety of reasons; most commonly by placing too much stress (from excess running or jumping) to the bottom of the foot.

Mallet & Claw Toes
Mallet toes and claw toes are similar in appearance to Hammer Toes. The only difference is that different joints on the toe are affected. The deformaties most often are due to wearing compressive footwear. A Mallet Toe diagnosis is indicative of the joint at the end of the toe buckling; while a Claw Toe diagnosis involves abnormal positions of all three joints. The recommended treatment for these problems is to wear comfortable footwear. Mallet & Claw Toes

Bone Spurs
Bone spursA Bone Spur is a prominence of the bone that can often causes irritation to the overlying skin. If there is a corn or callus present on the skin, this is usually caused from irritation from walking or pressure caused by shoes.

The single most significant change a person can make to relieve the pain from a bone spur is wearing comfortable shoes. Corns from bone spurs can be gently and gradually removed at home. Soak the feet in warm water with a mild soap, then, use an emery board to file down the corn using a back and forth motion. This needs to be done on a regular basis to diminish the rate of growth of the lesions. If you suffer from diabetes or poor circulation you should not treat yourself.
